The engine answered a non-success status: a RESP_ERROR frame carrying its status, or the declined item of a single write. LedgerClient.LedgerProtocolException.statusCode() is never null. Catch this type for engine statuses; a LedgerClient.LedgerProtocolException that is not one of these is a protocol error (no status).
